This evening, His Excellency Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa joined fellow Governors at State House, Nairobi, for a high-level consultative meeting convened by President H.E. Dr. William Ruto. The session focused on assessing the implementation of key inter-governmental development projects, with priority areas including the digitization of public health facilities, harmonisation of agricultural agencies, and the full transfer of devolved functions with the attendant resources.

The meeting also addressed plans to strengthen Kenya’s cooperative ecosystem as a strategy to enhance agricultural productivity, improve market access, and increase earnings for farmers. Leaders reaffirmed the need for closer coordination between the two levels of government to ensure efficiency and effective service delivery towards sustainable economic growth.
